Area Youth Devotional - TONIGHT! Sunday, October 12, at 4 PM
Under the direction of Elder Uchtdorf, we invite you to support a special opportunity for youth and their parents to attend a live, area-wide devotional focused on the importance of education for Latter-day Saints. This devotional will explore how to involve the Lord in learning and highlight various educational opportunities provided by the Church.
Messages will be shared by:
- Elder Kevin R. Duncan, General Authority Seventy, Presidency of the Seventy
- Elder Jose L. Alonso, General Authority Seventy, US Southwest Area President
- Elder Clark G. Gilbert, General Authority Seventy, Commissioner of the Church Education System
- President C. Shane Reese, BYU President, and Wendy Reese
- President Alvin F. Meredith III, BYU-Idaho President, and Jennifer Meredith
The devotional will be broadcast live from Houston on Sunday, October 12, at 4 PM
As taught in the Doctrine and Covenants, "The glory of God is intelligence" (D&C 93:36), and those who gain knowledge through diligence and obedience in this life will be blessed in the life to come (D&C 130:19). We hope this devotional will inspire our remarkable youth to better understand how to partner with the Lord in their education as they strive to reach their divine potential.
